Right now, Telugu’s biggest stars like Mahesh Babu, Venkatesh, Raviteja, Balakrishna and Kalyan Ram are being talked about, all just because of one movie.
Last year’s Ponga hit in Kollywood, Vijay and Mohan Lal’s “Jilla” is the film we are talking about. This movie is doing rounds in Telugu industry for various reasons. Earlier the movie was supposed to be remade by Balakrishna and Jr NTR, but that was simply put down as a rumour then.
A month back however there is huge buzz that Venkatesh and Raviteja have finally agreed to star in this remake that is likely to be helmed by Veeru Potla of Bindaas fame.
Film Nagar folks however got their eyeballs popping out, when senior director Samudra however screened a special show of the movie for Nandamuri Balakrishna.
Immediately, Nata Simham gave his nod to reprise the role of father Mohan Lal in case if Kalyan Ram plays son Vijay’s role. That put everyone on their toes as they are now confused who is remaking “Jilla” for real.
How come Mahesh Babu’s name is tagged with “Jilla” then? The original director of Jilla, Neason is gearing up to convince the Superstar for a multi-starrer movie featuring Mahesh, Mohan Lal and Arya in the leads. When all other heroes are evincing interest to star in Jilla remake, the Jilla director is running after Mahesh to star in his next flick.
