This film was an Indian romantic musical movie which was written and directed by debut filmmaker Shefali Bhushan. This film deals with the a music composer who travels to a village in India in search of a  good and golden voice. The movie titled ‘Jugni’ is a double meaning. It’s literal translation means ‘female firefly’, while thsi is the meaning in the context of music refers to a narrative device commonly used in the Punjabi folk music in which an outside observer comments with humorous and sad remarks on occurring events. This movie is a  completely traditional musical which is being composed by Clinton Cerejo and consists of contributions from several acclaimed Indian movie composers including Vishal Bharadwaj and Oscar-winning composer Legend A.R. Rahman. This movie is being distributed by PVR Pictures and this film was all set to release nationwide in India on January 22nd, 2016.

Film Jugni  is the movie which is  beat of the soul, the free-flying spirit. Jugni movie is Vibhavari (Sugandha Garg). Vibhavari is a music director in this film working on her first big break in the Hindi movie industry. When work and home affairs, with her live-in boyfriend Sid (Samir Sharma) hit a high tide, Vibhavari hits the road with a glint of hope to find music. These journey takes her to a village in Punjab in the search of a (Sadhana Singh) named as Bibi Saroop , whose voice holds the promise that Vibhavari  is searching for. But as the twist of fate would have it, (Siddhant Behl) named as Mastana, Bibi’s son and a proficient singer himself, is the voice and man who winds his way into Vibs’ heart.
